You designed those fonts on the stand ?

I design the Arabic version. The Latin is Gerard Unger’s BigVesta.

Dear Nadine:

Is Byblos used by Deutsche Welle TV in its Arabic sessions?.

Thanks.

No that was a special version of my Janna.

Just a note of additonal inofmration and clarification on these fonts.
The BigVesta Arabic (which Nadine is intending to marekt under the name Byblos was designed within the Framework of the Khatt Foundations’ pilot project : Typographic Matchmaking 01. The image presentted above is from the book (to be published in August 2007) entitled ‘ Typographic Matchmaking ‘ (BIS Publishers, Amsterdam. ISBN 978-90-6369-124-0) which features all the Arabic fonts developed for this project. For more information you can visit the Khatt Foundations’ website at http//:www.khtt.net.

The Vesta and BigVesta Arabic fonts are used on large- scale environmental graphics and lettering for the Saadiyat Island Cultural District Masterplan, which was unveiled in Abu Dhabi on the 31st of January 2007. The Exhibition, sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Development and Investment Company, showcased architectural design proposals for a series of museums to be designed by an array of internationally- renowned architects. One of the major museums featured in this project is the Guggenheim museum, with a plan to build the largest Guggenheim in the world to date. This proposal was presented and developed by Thomas Krens, Director of the Guggenheim Foundation. The exhibition was curated by a team of specialists form the Guggenheim Foundation, and was designed by
