The interview that I did last October has been published in Cap&Design, a leading and very well respected design magazine in Sweden, and now it’s online — thank you, Jonas!— and you can see it here:

In case you are wondering about the typeface that the word Beirut is set in, that’s the first public image of the yet unreleased Palatino Arabic. That Yeh-Ra ligature is still bugging me… The Ra appears too small. Have to fix it!

nice appearing! but why you didn’t use the circle dots instead of the diamond ones?

I hope you like this, http://www.flickr.com/photos/secular_humanist/595512686/

I did other several logos ;)

I actually did not design the River Island logo shown in the interview. It’s in there because I am critisizing the cut-and-paste of LAtin typefaces to make an Arabic logo. This example in particular is quite terrible…

i know that, I’ve seen it in a previous post.. it’s a great thing to work with such a famous calligrapher like Herman Zapf.. good luck..

so you don’t like my work? LOL

Moey, I was refering to the one in the article. The one you posted could be worse… Only the Jim is funny. For a true Frankenstein you need more of a mess!

:(

I love the yeh-raa Ligature…
