Or, I’m in Ramallah as much as humanly possible given the travel restrictions in that area. I just learned via twitter that TEDxRamallah used my Neue Helvetica Arabic for their logo. I’m thrilled for 2 reasons: 1. I have no clue when I would ever be allowed into Palestine but at least one of my babies is in… 2. I looooove TED events and so I’m really glad that they chose one of my typefaces! Thanks to whoever designed this!!
Update: The design team responsible for this identity was Polypod who is a partner for TEDx Ramallah. One of the designers is Elie Abu Jamra, a fellow Lebanese and AUB graduate. Elie trained with me at Linotype a while ago and his work shows a great sensitivity to the intricacies of Arabic typography. Very nice job! You can see more of the project here.
