I am ashamed to admit that I never knew of Samir Kassir until after I heard of his assassination. But the beauty of ideas is that they can live on, and that they are immune to car bombs. I know that this is off topic, but why do we design, if the countries we come from are falling apart? We design for a better tomorrow and for that we need to believe that we can affect change. We need to believe that our work can make a tiny difference, and when there are enough of us, this tiny difference becomes a tsunami of change.
